Thousands of Leaflets Delivered Across the Area
Over the past few days, members of Clean Air Action Group South have been out across local communities delivering our information leaflet to households that could be affected by the proposed Clean Air Solar Farm.
The purpose of the leaflet was simple: to raise awareness of the proposal, explain the scale of the development, and encourage residents to take part in the consultation process.
The leaflet highlights some of the key questions and concerns that local people have already raised, including the loss of high-quality agricultural land, the impact on local communities and businesses, the proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), public access to the countryside, and the cumulative effect of multiple major infrastructure projects planned around Beverley and Cottingham.
We also wanted to make sure residents were aware of the developer’s Public Information Days and understood the importance of having their say while the project is still at an early stage.
As a community group, we believe that informed public engagement is essential. Whatever view people ultimately take on the proposal, they deserve access to information and the opportunity to understand how such a significant development could affect their lives, their communities and future generations.
We would like to thank all the volunteers who gave up their time to help distribute the leaflets and everyone who has taken the time to read them, visit our website and engage with the issues.
If you have not yet seen a copy of the leaflet, you can view it online and explore the supporting evidence and key documents available throughout this website.
